Youth Guardianship by All-Female Mechanical Team

       At the maintenance workshop of Harbin EMU Depot under CR-Harbin, a group of female technicians with an average age of only 25 safeguard the daily operation of high-speed trains. Established in April 2022, the "Edelweiss" team currently has 23 members and is primarily responsible for the maintenance of 115 high-cold region EMU sets within its jurisdiction. They are also known as the "All-Female Mechanical Team" on high-cold high-speed railways.

　　During this year's Spring Festival travel rush, the "Edelweiss" team participated in and completed first-level maintenance inspections on 110 EMU sets, independently performing tasks at all designated positions and timely identifying and preventing over 1,000 safety hazards. Each team member is well-versed in inspection standards for three train models and more than 60 car body types, as well as familiar with various technical regulations. Since its establishment three years ago, the team has continuously overcome challenges to ensure the safe operation of high-speed rail.
