New 1,000-Ton Steel Truss Beam Successfully Spans the Shanghai-Chengdu Railway on the Shanghai-Nanjing-Hefei High Speed Railway
In the early morning of June 15, a nearly 1,000-ton steel truss beam for the new Shanghai-Nanjing-Hefei High Speed Railway successfully spanned the Shanghai-Chengdu Railway, laying the foundation for subsequent beam erection work. The new Shanghai-Nanjing-Hefei High Speed Railway is an important part of the Yangtze River corridor in the national medium-and long-term railway network plan's "eight verticals and eight horizontals." It serves as a fast direct link between cities along the northern bank of the Yangtze River and the Nanjing and Shanghai metropolitan areas.
