Recently, Train Y444, the "Panda Special Train - Chengdu," completed its 16-day "Panoramic Ultimate Journey of Northern and Southern Xinjiang" and gently arrived at Anjing Railway Station in Chengdu, Sichuan. The 109 tourists gave high praise to the comfortable and enjoyable itinerary.
Onboard, nearly 60 national intangible cultural heritage treasures from seven categories, including Shu brocade, Shu embroidery and bamboo weaving, were exhibited. The train also featured a "Panda Butler", "Vacation Ambassadors", professional chefs and logistics support staff, providing passengers with 24-hour high-quality service.
Since CR-Chengdu launched the "Panda Special Train" tourism product in 2021, the train has operated routes covering over 30 destinations including Guizhou, Yunnan, Shandong and Xinjiang, with annual frequency steadily increasing. It has gradually formed a tiered tourism train product lineup represented by the "Panda Special Train - Anyi", "Panda Special Train - Shifang" and "Panda Special Train - Chengdu." It also made Anjing Railway Station the country's first panda-themed tourism train exclusive base station. By the end of May 2025, 21 "Panda Special Trains" have been operated, serving more than 7,400 tourists, with a 62% increase in trips compared to the same period in 2024.
