Buffet Dining Now Available on Trains

Recently, CR-Shenyang has innovated its catering service by offering buffet meals on silver-hair tourism trains. This initiative has been widely praised by passengers.

According to reports, multiple tourism trains departing from Shenyang, Dalian, Changchun and other cities to popular destinations such as Shenzhen, Chengdu and Jiujiang now provide buffet dining. The buffet features a wide variety of local dishes, including Northeast Chinese specialties like sweet and sour pork strips, guobaorou (crispy fried pork) and chicken stewed with mushrooms, as well as Sichuan dishes such as boiled fish in chili oil and Kung Pao chicken, all highly favored by travelers.

Chefs prepare meals in rotation according to the menu, ensuring daily variety with no repeated dishes and new dishes at each meal. The meals offer a balanced mix of meat and vegetables to meet diverse passenger needs. Considering the health requirements of elderly travelers, the train also provides low-sugar, low-oil, low-salt and easily digestible dishes. Passengers celebrating birthdays during the journey are offered a complimentary bowl of longevity noodles on their special day.
